Synopsis:

SCANDAL, the all girls rock band from Japan is ready to rock your world and for the first time they will be performing live in Singapore on September 16. SCANDAL with their unique brand of aggressive pop music will be here for just one night only.

SCANDAL was formed in August 2006 comprising of four high school girls who went to the same vocal & dance school in Osaka, Japan.

They started performing as SCANDAL with their unique brand of aggressive pop music. When they started, they often performed on the street of Shiroten in Osaka Castle Park.
After a while, they started performing at clubs and music halls in the Kansan area.
In March 2008, they were invited to the “Sakura-Con”, Japanese culture convention in Seattle, and they toured six cities in the U.S drawing over 7,000 fans

In July 2008, they performed at the Japan Expo in France and the Anicomi Fes in Hong Kong.
In October 2008, “Doll”, their debut single was released. Over 40 FM/AM/CS radio stations in Japan were giving “DOLL” power play airtime.

On July 17th 2009, “Shoujo S”, their 3rd single was released which ranked 6th in the first week on Oricon chart, and 5th on Reco-choku Chakuuta Full (Full music ring tone provider) weekly chart.
On October 21st, “BEST★SCANDAL”, their first album was released and this time it ranked 5th on the Oricon chart. This is the first time in over 7 years that a band is ranked in the top during the first week of their album release. In 2009, the Japan Record Award for New Face was awarded to Scandal.
In February 2010, their single “Shunkan Sentimental” was placed in 7th on Oricon, 4th on Reco-choku. They also released “Taiyouto Kimigaegaku STORY” in June. In July, they released their first ballad “Namidano Regret”, followed by their 2nd album “TEMPTATION BOX” which ranked 3rd place on Oricon.

In October, “Scandal nanka Buttobase” was released, and ranked 3rd on Oricon. In November their mini album “R_Girl’s Rock” once again caught the attention of the public.
